- If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you might have Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
- If you answer no to all these questions, you can still participate and help us learn more about these disorders.
- Do you dislike the way any part(s) of your body look?
- Do you think about your appearance for more than 1 hour per day?
- Do you try to hide, change, or check your appearance?
- Do your appearance concerns cause problems for you with your work, school, family or your friends?
- Do you worry that you are contaminated with germs or dirt?
- Do you worry that you will act on an impulse?
- Do you feel the need to do certain things "just right?" Does this interfere with work, school, family, or friends?
- Do you have obsessive thoughts?
This study involves completion of an Internet survey.

This research study is being conducted to determine whether there are subtypes of BDD. The results of this study may affect future treatment of this disorder. We are including individuals with BDD, OCD and those without a psychiatric diagnosis, for comparison purposes.

- Your scores, in conjunction with your therapist’s clinical judgment, may help with your treatment.
Participants must be 16 years of age or older.
A psychiatric diagnosis is not required to participate.
